Project Overview

Looking to the Future

In 2012 the Coquille Tribe purchased the commercial property where Roxy Ann Bowling Center is currently located with plans to renovate the building and create a Class II gaming facility. When complete, The Cedars at Bear Creek will feature an upscale restaurant and hundreds of exciting video gaming machines. The building’s exterior is being completely redesigned and renovated to convey a distinctly northwestern look and feel.

We as a Coquille people live in balance with our land. We believe in only taking what we need and caring for all lands and all communities everywhere.

–Ken Tannner, Chief, Coquille Tribe 1992–2014

This new enterprise will help the Coquille Tribal Council broaden the Tribe’s economic base, allowing us to continue to meet the important health and human services needs for the members of our growing tribal community. At the same time, The Cedars at Bear Creek will enhance recreational opportunities in the Rogue Valley and bring needed jobs and economic revitalization to the community.

Why Medford?

The Coquille Tribe carefully considered many locations before choosing Medford, Oregon, as the most suitable for this project.
